Overview & Responsibilities:-
CNR International is a thriving global oil & gas operator which operates within a rapidly changing environment. Their well respected specialist contracts teams are looking to expand following continued commercial success two high profile opportunities currently exist for experienced contract engineers to work in their offices in the city centre of Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:
• The roles will report to the Contract & Procurement Supervisor’s.
• To provide specialist advice in the field of commercial contracts.
• Covering the North Sea or West Africa.
• To create a strong working relationship with the Commercial Contracts Teams, Management Board and internal and external clients.
• The ability to influence the decision making process.
• Be pro-active in preparation of contract strategies taking cognisance of EU legislation.
• Co-ordinate and prepare pre-qualifications and tender enquiries, evaluate tender submissions, develop commercial and contractual evaluation models, conduct clarification meetings, prepare and present to management recommendations to award.
• Prepare contractual documentation.
• Post award contract administration, insurances, rate negotiations, claim/variation agreements, contract amendments, performance amendments, performance assessments and maintenance of electronic file.
• Act as day to day liaison/advice on commercial and contractual matters to sponsor departments.
• Research and resolve commercial and contractual issues involving legal, finance and insurance advisers as appropriate.
• Manage your workload competently, professionally, efficiently and cost effectively with minimum supervision.

Essential Skills:
• Minimum of three years experience in a contracts and procurement environment.
• Ideally will have gained their experience from working within another operator which has a strong reputation in oil and gas production.
• Working knowledge of drilling or operational and maintenance contractual matters.
• Experience and working knowledge of in a range of operational contracts activities.
• Diplomatic, robust, creative and confident.
• Ability to negotiate and influence at the highest levels.
• Strength of character to be open and understanding of change within the organisation.
• Communication skills of the highest order (Oral and Written) – with energy, enthusiasm to hold your own but the ability to compromise, agree and move on.

Qualifications / Experience:
• Degree level or equivalent in Commercial, legal or Quantity Surveyor and or professional qualification or relevant body such as CIPS.
• Currently or working towards accreditation as a contract specialist, preferably CIPS.
