Overview & Responsibilities:-
The Continuity Company is a successful and exciting International Marketing Group with a turnover in excess of £200 million servicing major retailers worldwide. Our business is fast moving and competitive, dedicated to developing consumer loyalty through marketing programmes offering luxury branded rewards.
Due to continued growth we are looking for an International Sourcing Lead to drive truly new sources of Supply.
Reporting to the Group Product Director, key responsibilities will include:
• Assessment of the company current supply base from a cost, risk, product and service point-of-view in order to define priorities for the role and for the existing Procurement and Sourcing teams.
• Identification of truly new and innovative suppliers and markets to make the company more competitive and successful
• Compiling and analysing market intelligence in relation to commodities, vendors, markets and emerging sources of supply to support and adapt sourcing strategy
• Move the current Procurement business from a Reactive to a Proactive function
• Work with new suppliers to ensure continuation of supply whilst minimising risk to the business and their customers
• Working with the current Procurement team to negotiate and implement contracts with Suppliers
You will:
• Have proven experience of dealing direct to source on an international basis
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit allied to a strong professional approach
• Be self motivated with a strong commitment to customer service
• Be keen to work in a truly international environment
• Have well developed analytical and communication skills
• A second language would be advantageous
This role will involve significant international travel.
